Taking into account the great interest in the Second Republican Innovation Competition held by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United Nations, and taking into account the active participation of universities in the competition, the deadline for accepting projects for the competition has been extended until September 30.

Another innovation related to the competition is the initiation of cooperation with the Social Innovation Laboratory (SIL), which has extensive experience in organizing innovation competitions and startups, at the initiative of the Ministry of Economy and the United Nations Delegation in Azerbaijan. Within the framework of this cooperation, it is planned to hold 2 intensive camps on 9 modules with the support of SİL and to organize a preliminary preparation stage for the selected ideas. In addition, the author of the project that won the 1st place in the competition will represent our country at the "Istanbul Innovation Days 2018" International Program, which will be attended by the world's leading investors and experts.

It should be noted that the Second Republican Innovation Competition was organized by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United Nations to promote the goals of the "Agenda for Sustainable Development until 2030", to encourage innovation, and at the same time to promote the "Azerbaijan 2020: Vision of the Future" Development Concept and "National Economy and announced to support the implementation of Strategic Road Maps for the main sectors of the economy. In order to raise awareness about the competition, educational events were held with the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Baku State University, teachers, students and young researchers of ANAS "High Technologies Park" LLC, ASAN volunteers. So far, about 80 projects have been submitted to the competition through the "Idea Bank" (www.ideya.az) platform of the State Agency for Citizen Service and Social Innovation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The winners of the competition will receive 5000 manats for the 1st place, 3000 manats for the 2nd place and 2000 manats for the 3rd place.
