Young scientists were informed about the III republic innovation competition

An educational event was held at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) to promote the 3rd republican innovation competition organized by the Council of Young Scientists and Experts.

The competition was organized by the Ministries of Economy, Transport, Communication and High Technologies, Culture, State Agency for Citizen Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, "Ernst & Young Holdings (SiAyEs) Bi.Vi." was announced jointly with the company's branch in Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan representation of the United Nations Development Program. The purpose of the competition is to promote the Sustainable Development Goals from the UN's "Transforming our World: Agenda for Sustainable Development until 2030", encouraging innovation, as well as the Strategic Path of the "Azerbaijan 2020: Vision of the Future" Development Concept and the main sectors of the national economy and economy. It is to support the implementation of maps.

ANAS informed that the event was opened by the Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Experts, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics, Associate Professor Famin Salmanov, who said that important work has been done by the management of the academy to strengthen and stimulate the scientific activity of young scientists, as well as to improve their social conditions. He said that young researchers adequately represent Azerbaijani science in projects and competitions of national and international importance.

Then, Huseyn Huseynov, head of the department of the Ministry of Economy, secretary of the National Coordinating Council for Sustainable Development, made a speech and emphasized the importance of innovation in terms of ensuring the sustainable development of the economy in our country, increasing competitiveness and export potential, as well as strengthening environmental protection, and brought the rules of the competition to the attention of young researchers.

He noted that projects reflecting innovative ideas, economically efficient and feasible are accepted for the competition. He said that in order to implement and implement the projects approved by the Evaluation Commission within the competition, propaganda will be carried out in various state institutions, organizations and business entities.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Culture Vasif Eyvazzade, Department Head of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Rashad Azizov, as well as "Ernst and Young Holdings (SiAyEs) Bi.Vi." Gunel Farajova, head of the company's Climate Change and Sustainable Development Services in Azerbaijan and Georgia, spoke about the importance of the competition and called on young people to actively participate in the project.
