To promote the goals of the UN Agenda for Sustainable Development until 2030, encourage innovation, and at the same time, support the implementation of "Azerbaijan 2020: Vision Development Concept" and "Strategic Roadmap for the production of consumer goods at the level of small and medium enterprises", is held in order to identify innovative projects and stimulate their implementation.

INNOVATIVE PROJECT AREAS

Projects reflecting innovative ideas covering the following areas are submitted to the competition:

Economic:

innovative start-up;
the best innovative business incubators;
innovative production methods;
scientific and high-tech equipment and new mechanism in this field;
efficient science-intensive production and consumption models;
less capital-intensive infrastructure;
increase of technical capabilities in the field of nursing;
and so on.
Social:

innovative social services;
health, education and food security;
innovation in the cultural-spiritual sphere and social life;
an active public program to involve all groups of society;
protection of cultural and natural heritage;
settlement planning and management;
urbanization;
innovative activity in the field of tourism;
and so on.
Ecological:

green economy;
application of clean and environmentally friendly technologies;
efficient and ecological use of food waste
effective local climate change planning and management;
marine and coastal ecosystems;
terrestrial and inland freshwater ecosystems;
protection, restoration and sustainable use of forests, wetlands, mountains and drylands;
conservation of biodiversity;
and so on.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PROJECT SUBMITTED TO THE COMPETITION

Technical and economic justified;
Prioritization of fields;
Economic efficiency;
Feasibility of implementation.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF PROJECTS

Candidates who want to participate in the competition should submit their innovative projects in the form of technical and economic justification by November 30, 2017.

PROJECT EVALUATION PERIOD

The innovative projects submitted to the competition are evaluated until December 10, 2017, and the winners of the competition are determined.

COMPETITION PRIZE

First place (a prize) - 3,000 (three thousand) manats;
Second place (a prize) - 2,000 (two thousand) manats;
Third place (a prize) – 1,000 (thousand) manats.
